GRIZ GROBUS (a hardcover graphic novel)

A new tale of the Grobusverse, on the Horizon...

I'm currently finalizing all the details, but I wanted to announce a new project on the horizon - a graphic novella called MIRAMAR which I'm making with my friend Stefan Tosheff (with Stefan doing all art duties, and myself simply as lowly scribe and marketer)! It's another tale set in the same universe as Griz Grobus and Habitat - only this time, on the ocean world of MIRAMAR. The people of the island of Bilbao awaken one day to find that PIRATES have kidnapped their baker - and stolen the island's sourdough starter! But their town priest-bot, Father Frank, has a plan...

Here are a few excerpts from the pages Stefan is working hard on, as we speak!

I'll have the pre-launch page up and running next week, with a full project launch later in the month - so be prepared! 

Also, I wanted to give a boost to a book that's near and dear to my heart - Will Tempest's HARSH PROSPECT!

The book is exactly the type of hard sci-fi that comics is usually lacking - a hard-scrabble, failing human colony with an increasingly oppressive corporate government... another colonizing alien life form, trying to gain a foothold on this desolate world... and two lovers, trying to live between all this. It's one hell of a book, and I highly, highly recommend signing up to get a copy through Will's campaign, here.

If you'd like to read some of Will's book first, he's got the whole thing online here, but don't tarry, if any of this piques your interest. There's only a few days left of the campaign, so don't miss it! It's an incredible piece of sci-fi comic storytelling, of the type im a little jealous i didn't write and draw myself (high praise tbh).

THE FINAL GROBII!

At long last, the Father Stanley miniatures have descended from the Papal Robotworks to Clackamas, Oregon (home of CRWN Studios, our blessed fulfillers)! 

They will be shipping tomorrow! 

So if you're one of the blessed, patient backers who ordered a Father Stanley, your long wait soon shall end! 

A huge thanks, again, to all of you - this project has been a real labor of love, and I'm honored that you all joined us for it. I'm in the midst of cooking up a new book right now, which will most likely hit kickstarter next year (my dream is to have a kickstarter funded and fulfilled in the SAME CALENDAR YEAR)... as well as some other little projects you might be interested in.

THE PAPAL ROBOWORKS ARE GRINDING

Hey everyone! GOOD NEWS ALL AROUND! Orders are shipping away (around 400 are shuffling off into the global mail system).

But not only that - in the mountains of California, the Papal Roboworks (aka Phix Systems ) are hard at work printing off our beloved Father Stanleys! 

THat's all - I'm off to Toronto for TCAF! Expect another update in the next week once our Stanleys are flying off into the future! 

THE GROBUS HAS LANDED (and starts shipping next week!)

AT LONG LAST! The shipment of books from Regent printing has touched down in Oregon, at the warehouse of our noble partners at CRWN Studios! What this mean for you, noble backers, is that books will be shipping out next week! After a long journey from China, those perfect little hardcover fellas will be getting into everyone's paws. 

However, one hiccup - due to some severe weather circumstances in the mountains of California, where they're being printed, production of the Father Stanley miniature was slightly delayed. Production is estimated to be finished next week, though, so orders with the Father Stanley miniatures will only be delayed by a week or two, compared to the rest of the orders.

Thank you all for your support and patience - I am so excited to be sharing this book with you all! Hell, I'll even be in Toronto for TCAF at the end of the month (table 2018, up on the second floor) if anyone else is going to be present! 

OH - one more thing!

The esteemed comickers Seth Jacobs and Daniel Irrizari are currently funding issue 2 of their very cool Fantasy Western, HOLY WEST. THey're fully funded, but there's a few days left to pick it up, which I'd highly recommend.

I've even got a two page story in it - one page of original art for which is still available for purchase as a reward! Take a look!

THE PROOFS ARRIVE!

It is with great fanfare that I wanted to announce the arrival of my first 4 copies of the finished book - foil on the edges, foil on the spine info, cloth spine, cute lil red bookmark - all the delightful goodies i was hollering about, made real! 

The arrival of these proofs (and the fact there's not a damn thing wrong with them, praise be) bodes well for the book arriving in north america at the end of March, and flying off to you all not long afterwards. I'll give more updates as we get closer!
